DEPOvLETU 2020

From 6/30 to 8/28, the DEPO2015 courtyard was home to live concerts, gastronomic and musical evenings, a summer cinema, theater and special programs for families with children. The whole series of events was given the collective name "DEPOvLETU". The main goal of the project was to support the vibrant cultural scene in the region and support especially local independent artists and other cultural professions, which felt the difficult time associated with the virtual stoppage of cultural activity during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"DEPOvLETU" is a comprehensive regular program consisting of several types of events. Tuesday and Friday evenings livened upconcerts especially local independent artists and bands. "Art Wednesdays" were devoted tosummer cinema, author reading whoseartistic director intended for the general public and cultural connoisseurs. Nice connectionDJ sets andgastronomy as part of Thursday's programs"Eat'n'Beat" and"Saturday Cocktail" they offered a different gastronomic experience each time. And last but not least, families with children were also remembered and within the framework of the afternoon program blocks -Depot for children, the experience oftheatrical performances with workshops.

As part of the concerts on Tuesdays and Fridays, more than30 open air concerts local bands. On each of these evenings it was possible to listen to an almost three-hour program of 1 or 2 bands. The music genres were really diverse. People could thus choose from a wide range that led fromswing overreggae afterpunk. They performed for examplePilsner Jazz Band, P.V.A., Tabasker, BT'n'J, Milan Samek and many others.

Thursdays and Saturdays hosted themed eventsgastro evenings "Eat'n'Beat" and "Saturday Cocktails" under the batonHEY MAMA Grill&Bar, which prepared selected foods and drinks from different corners of the world. Dinner in spiritTexas BBQ Redneck Party,Taste of New York orMediterranean Seafood Compilation made Pilsen more pleasant DJs with music for good food and drink.

Art Wednesdays they were relaxing, full of fun andart. The program included a summer cinema in cooperation with Finals Pilsen, author readings with The world of books, introducing a new circus French association Cie Pieds Perchés,SLAM Poetry exhibition in the open air, or performances Revival Cabaret Dubnička Lahoda. Sundays were reserved for families, who could look forward to from 3 p.m theatre, musical afternoon and workshops. Among the performing ensembles were Rolnička Theater, Puppet Theater Karlovy Vary or Špalíček Puppet Theater.
